Promotion readiness
Promotion readiness is a structured, evidence-based judgment about whether a person can perform the next role — not whether they deserve it based on tenure or the current one. It combines demonstrated capability, behavioral signal under pressure, and gap analysis against the target level.
Why it matters for HR leaders
Most organizations promote on availability and tenure. The result is the Peter Principle at scale: strong individual contributors becoming weak managers, weak managers becoming weak leaders.
How Leadify uses it
Leadify measures readiness against the target level's competency rubric using simulations calibrated to that level — so 'ready with caveat' means something specific and coachable.
