Calibrated rubric
A calibrated rubric is a scoring framework whose criteria and score points have been tested against a reference set of responses to ensure that different raters — human or model — produce consistent scores. Calibration is what turns a rubric from an opinion into a measurement instrument.
Why it matters for HR leaders
An uncalibrated rubric is worse than useless: it produces a number that looks precise but drifts by rater, mood, and time. Calibrated rubrics are the difference between an assessment and a survey.
