Definition
Confidence interval
A confidence interval is the range around a point estimate within which the true value is expected to lie with a specified probability — commonly 95%. It quantifies uncertainty so that decisions can be made with awareness of how much the score could plausibly move.
Why it matters for HR leaders
A single score treats a noisy measurement as if it were exact. Confidence intervals prevent overinterpretation and force honest conversations about when more data is needed.
How Leadify uses it
Every Leadify ability estimate is reported with a 95% confidence interval; readiness recommendations require the lower bound to clear the target-level threshold, not just the point estimate.
