Bayesian ability estimation

Bayesian ability estimation combines prior evidence about a person's ability with new observations to produce a posterior estimate and a confidence interval. Each additional scenario updates the estimate rather than replacing it, so signal accumulates efficiently over a small number of sessions.

Why it matters for HR leaders

It answers the question HR actually asks — 'how sure are we?' — with a quantified interval, not a single point score. That makes promotion and hiring decisions defensible.

How Leadify uses it

Every Leadify report includes a posterior ability estimate (θ) and a 95% confidence interval, so decisions are made against evidence and uncertainty — not a raw number.
